Septic Inspections

Septic Systems/Lagoons

There are a handful of reasons you may want to get your septic system inspected. It is typical during the sale or purchase of a home with a septic system to have a septic inspection. You may just be noticing some issues with your plumbing and wish to investigate. Either way, inspecting your system is never a bad idea and can prevent costly repairs down the road.

Depending on the type of system the inspector will inspect all the components of the septic or lagoon to see if it meets state standards and is functioning properly. These include, but are not limited to, the size of the tank/lagoon, what the tank is made of, the inlet and outlet lines, cleanouts, lateral field, and baffles. Lagoons will also be inspected for vegetation and proper fencing.

Septic Inspection Process

When Stronghold does a septic inspection on your tank/entire system we start by checking for any leaks/drainage that should not be there. We assess the pipe conditions, measure the liquid levels, and check on the overall health of the system. During this entire process we’re able to give our expert opinion on how old the system is, how well it’s been maintained, if there have been previous issues or repairs and how much life is likely left in the system.
