Our services

For the cost of the complete package of home inspections all of these are a must for peace of mind and assurance that your home is in top condition.

Home Inspection

Depending on the size of the home the average home inspection will take 2-4 hours. Once the inspector is on site, the major components of the property will be inspected. These components include, but are not limited to; structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. The inspection of these components are not based off building codes. Once the inspection is complete the client will receive a detailed report that will include specific items that need to be addressed, along with pictures to give a better understanding of the issues.

Septic/Lagoon Inspection

Depending on the type of system the inspector will inspect all the components of the septic or lagoon to see if it meets state standards and is functioning properly. These include, but are not limited to, the size of the tank/lagoon, what the tank is made of, the inlet and outlet lines, cleanouts, lateral field, and baffles. Lagoons will also be inspected for vegetation and proper fencing.
*A septic tank MUST have access to the inlet and outlet sides of the tank prior to the inspection. If they are buried, the buyer's agent and seller's agent should work out who is digging them up and have them uncovered before the inspector arrives to avoid additional charges.

Termite and Bug Inspection

Termites are bugs that can destroy a home and go unseen without the proper inspection. Once at the home, the inspector will visually inspect for bug infestations that are currently active or show evidence of prior damage. All of these bugs are treatable with the correct process.

Water Quality Test

A sample of your water will be taken and sent off to a certified lab to test for the bacteria Coliform and E. Coli. If the test fails for either one, the well will need to be treated.
An advanced test for VA loans will be sent to a specialty lab to be tested for E. coli, Coliform, and the additionally VA required, Nitrate, Nitrite, and Lead.

Air Quality Test

Indoor air quality can quickly affect breathing, especially in people with allergies and asthma. To test for some of the most common culprits, an air sample is taken and sent to the lab to be tested for multiple types of mold and other things that may be in a home’s air.

Radon Test

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas present throughout the United States and the world. It can build to high levels inside a home and is the second leading cause of lung cancer according to the CDC. The test is left in the home for 2 days then a report can be generated immediately to determine if a home’s levels are above the EPA's action level.
We now use machines instead of lab tests! Results can be ready immediately after the 48 hour test is completed!

Septic Tank Pumping

Septic Tank Repairs

Septic systems last for decades when they are properly maintained. Pumping the tank at regular intervals is an integral part of that maintenance.

Manhole cover access is required to properly pump a septic tank. A 6″ inspection port should not be used to pump the tank.

We can add risers to tanks without the correct access so they can be easily examined and maintained. Baffles may break over time and need to be replaced.

Home Inspections

StrongHold Inspections provides its clients with a detailed report on the home they intend to purchase or sell so they are aware of the condition of the property and the need for any major repairs. The inspection covers the major components of the home including, but not limited to the following; structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. The purpose of the inspection is to identify and disclose to the client major deficiencies and defects of the systems and components of the premises, which are visually observable at the time of the inspection. The inspection will consist of only a visual analysis of major systems and components of the property and comment on those that need immediate repair, replacement, or further evaluation by a specialist.
Along with a standard home inspection, we can provide our clients with other major inspection services. Some of the other services offered include but are not limited to a septic/lagoon inspection, water quality tests, and termite and bug inspections.
